Package: pm-utils Version: 1.2.3-1 Followup-For: Bug #495347
not sure if this is the same problem as the OP reported but at least with tuxonice and (newer) nvidia drivers the power down method needs to be 4 and not 5 or the screen doesn't restore (ksoftirqd/0 is at 100%, impossible to change vt or kill the driver etc. but the rest of the machine is still alive. Locks up on shutdown or attemting to change vt or attempt to rmmod nvidia driver) there is no option to overide the powerdown at the moment and pm-utils overrides whatever is set manualy -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.28-rc9 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages pm-utils depends on: ii console-tools 1:0.2.3dbs-65.1 Linux console and font utilities ii powermgmt-base 1.30+nmu1 Common utils and configs for power Versions of packages pm-utils recommends: ii hal 0.5.11-6 Hardware Abstraction Layer ii radeontool 1.5-5 utility to control ATI Radeon back pn uswsusp <none> (no description available) ii vbetool 1.0-3 run real-mode video BIOS code to a Versions of packages pm-utils suggests: ii cpufrequtils 004-2 utilities to deal with the cpufreq -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
