Package: pm-utils
Version: 1.2.3-1
Followup-For: Bug #495347

not sure if this is the same problem as the OP reported but at least with
tuxonice
and (newer) nvidia drivers the power down method needs to be 4 and not 5 or the
screen doesn't restore (ksoftirqd/0 is at 100%, impossible to change vt or kill
the driver etc. but the rest of the machine is still alive. Locks up on shutdown
or attemting to change vt or attempt to rmmod nvidia driver)

there is no option to overide the powerdown at the moment and pm-utils overrides
whatever is set manualy
