Package: ruby1.9-dev Version: 1.9.0.2-9 Severity: normal The file /usr/include/ruby-1.9.0/x86_64-linux/ruby/config.h is always included when using <ruby.h> for embedded ruby scripts. It contains autoconf-based package macros like PACKAGE_NAME or PACKAGE_BUGREPORT. However, these values are also defined in the package using this library, hence producing GCC warnings.
These values should either be renamed (a simple sed script in debian/rules should do the trick) or be discarded entirely. A very similar bug was already opened for ruby1.7-dev but went unattended and was eventually closed due to 1.7 becoming obsolete (see #192523). -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages ruby1.9-dev depends on: ii libc6-dev 2.7-16 GNU C Library: Development Librari ii libruby1.9 1.9.0.2-9 Libraries necessary to run Ruby 1.
