I solved the problem defining in /etc/courier/authmysqlrc an explicit MYSQL_SELECT_CLAUSE where the username is selected appending the "@", like this: MYSQL_SELECT_CLAUSE SELECT \ CONCAT(username, '@'), \ "", \ password, \ .......
