Package: ditz Version: 0.5-1 Severity: wishlist As ditz is by design able to work in a distributed workflow, the identifiers used by default should also be distributed-friendly. The identifiers using the component name and a number have the problem that most merges with another set of issues will renumber anything.
Like DVCS systems, ditz already uses a hash as an identifier and the beginning of this identifier can already be used to designate an issue to ditz, so using the beginning of this identifier, like DVCS do, would seem to be a good idea. For example, if component foobar has been added an issue 6f25f4fe1d2ebce20f0b97df35f5eb2ba6245586, 6f25f4fe or foobar-6f25f4fe might be good default identifiers.
