Package: evolution-exchange Version: 2.22.3.dfsg-1 Followup-For: Bug #413142
Hello, I've been using Suse 10.2 with KDE 3.5.9 in work with evolution to read mail from exchange mail server. I am actually a debian user at home and because I'm using it for may be 8 years now, so I decided to try kubuntu and evolution was working also fine. I installed same kernel, same KDE 3.5.9 and same evolution. I think in Suse it was 2.20. Unfortunately I had more troubles with the ubuntu system and philosophy, as expected and decided to use my debian system. In the beginning it was working fine, but after my password expired it started doing weired stuff, like asking me to set a gnome-keyring password and saying it can not connect to exchange. I deleted finaly ~/.gnome2 and ~/.gconf and it finally worked yesterday, but today it didn't want to allow me read my mail. It is a nightmare as I have to use a crapy MS web interface. If you think windows is bad, the interface they have is even worse. I think if I can not do it tomorrow or at friday I'll have to install Suse again, which is very unplesant idea, that I would like to not see coming true, so if someone can help. It would be great. I have noticed that it depends somehow on keyring, because it worked yesterday only after I created a keyring with password and this after cheking the option to remember the password. How was evolution remembering the password previously, why does it want to put it in the keyring, If I ignore this option or remove the keyring it says translated in english "no password pair for exchange account owa http://<servername> ... My question related to this is how it was possible that in Suse and kubuntu with the same KDE version it didn't want to store password in any wallet and now (or in debian) it wants? How do I integrate evolution into KDE. The bulgarian language comes from my local environment at home, at work I have german. I can imagine spending about 10EUR for a solution if you live in EU, because I mean brutto, but still as I'm using it to do the work I get payed for, because I'll save the time looking for a solution myself. It's still stupid that it was working before :-\ regards -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26eko2 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=bulgarian, LC_CTYPE=bulgarian (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to bg_BG.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages evolution-exchange depends on: ii evolution 2.22.3.1-1 groupware suite with mail client a ii gconf2 2.22.0-1 GNOME configuration database syste ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.20-2 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libatk1.0-0 1.22.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libbonobo2-0 2.22.0-1 Bonobo CORBA interfaces library ii libbonoboui2-0 2.22.0-1 The Bonobo UI library ii libc6 2.7-16 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.6.4-7 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libcamel1.2-11 2.22.3-1.1 The Evolution MIME message handlin ii libebook1.2-9 2.22.3-1.1 Client library for evolution addre ii libecal1.2-7 2.22.3-1.1 Client library for evolution calen ii libedata-book1.2-2 2.22.3-1.1 Backend library for evolution addr ii libedata-cal1.2-6 2.22.3-1.1 Backend library for evolution cale ii libedataserver1.2-9 2.22.3-1.1 Utility library for evolution data ii libedataserverui1.2-8 2.22.3-1.1 GUI utility library for evolution ii libexchange-storage1.2 2.22.3-1.1 Client library for accessing Excha ii libfontconfig1 2.6.0-3 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.3.7-2 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgconf2-4 2.22.0-1 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglade2-0 1:2.6.2-1 library to load .glade files at ru ii libglib2.0-0 2.16.6-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome2-0 2.20.1.1-1 The GNOME 2 library - runtime file ii libgnomecanvas2-0 2.20.1.1-1 A powerful object-oriented display pi libgnomeui-0 2.20.1.1-2 The GNOME 2 libraries (User Interf ii libgnomevfs2-0 1:2.22.0-5 GNOME Virtual File System (runtime ii libgtk2.0-0 2.12.11-4 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libice6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libldap-2.4-2 2.4.11-1 OpenLDAP libraries ii liborbit2 1:2.14.13-0.1 libraries for ORBit2 - a CORBA ORB ii libpango1.0-0 1.20.5-3 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpixman-1-0 0.10.0-2 pixel-manipulation library for X a ii libpng12-0 1.2.27-2 PNG library - runtime ii libpopt0 1.14-4 lib for parsing cmdline parameters ii libsm6 2:1.0.3-2 X11 Session Management library ii libsoup2.4-1 2.4.1-2 an HTTP library implementation in ii libx11-6 2:1.1.5-2 X11 client-side library ii libxcb-render-util0 0.2.1+git1-1 utility libraries for X C Binding ii libxcb-render0 1.1-1.1 X C Binding, render extension ii libxcb1 1.1-1.1 X C Binding ii libxml2 2.6.32.dfsg-5 GNOME XML library ii libxrender1 1:0.9.4-2 X Rendering Extension client libra ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime evolution-exchange recommends no packages.
