That would be an unacceptably long delay for files that are just copied. The root of the problem is probably that dvgrab writes some bytes, then waits a few seconds, writes again… something logical of course for a piece of software that works with frames. If the delay reaches 10 seconds, your method won’t even work. Maybe it should check instead that no process is using the file, but that would lead to a lot of false positives.
