Yes, indeed, that is how Open Source should work, I just added some corrections to the xfce de.po diff. There are limits to the possibilities "semi-automatic" scripts offer and your efforts not only reduce typos but also draw attention to possible problems (as I normally don't look at translations but use english). I wrote that part mainly back to you because I hoped that you could suggest a nice german word, since Speiche sounds a little clumsy to me. So do "Strahl", "Zacke", "Zahn" in the context of stars.
