Hello, I have locally created an updated package for mapivi097 derived from the patches in mapivi_0.9.1-1.diff.gz . The respective mapivi_0.9.7-1.diff.gz patch is in the attachment. The main changes are the removal of 02_whereIsPerl and 04_tzCorrectGMT due to upstream inclusion/changes. Newly added is packaging of /usr/share/mapivi/icons and the patch 07_iconPath .
I have only tested it on etch so far but I don't see why there should be problems on lenny. Maybe the maintainer coud look into this and update the package. Regards, Ch. Scheurer
