Package: pristine-tar Version: 0.18 Followup-For: Bug #506627 I've added a built-in-gzip branch to my pristine-tar repository at git://joshtriplett.org/git/pristine-tar .
This branch incorporates my cut-down version of GNU gzip into zgz, and uses it to implement the --gnu option. This also adds support for using --timestamp and --original-name with --gnu. Using this support, I modified pristine-gz to do all of its compression with -c, feeding the uncompressed file in on standard input and reading the compressed data from standard output. This removes the need to give a temporary file the right original filename and timestamp, and also eliminates the complexity caused by zgz/gzip removing the uncompressed file after compressing it. - Josh Triplett -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.27-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages pristine-tar depends on: ii libc6 2.7-16 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii perl-modules 5.10.0-18 Core Perl modules ii xdelta 1.1.3-8 A diff utility which works with bi ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime Versions of packages pristine-tar recommends: ii bzip2 1.0.5-1 high-quality block-sorting file co pn pbzip2 <none> (no description available) pristine-tar suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
