Package: xtightvncviewer Followup-For: Bug #477664 I have a local copy of xtightvncviewer-1.2.9-21 to install because my dist-upgrades etc occasionally upgrade my Lenny and Sid systems to the newest version of xtightvncviewer, which doesn't work with the UntraVNC-SC Windows application.
To reproduce: go to http://www.uvnc.com/addons/singleclick.html and follow the instructions to create a Windows package Start the xtightvncviewer in listenin mode with: shell:~$ xtightvncviewer -bgr233 -encodings "hextile" -listen Watch as nothing happens; the initial bug report has the correct output that I also see: " > vncviewer -listen: Listening on port 5500 > vncviewer -listen: Command line errors are not reported until a connection > comes in. > Connected to RFB server, using protocol version 3.8 " and nothing ever happens. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages xtightvncviewer depends on: ii dpkg 1.14.22 Debian package management system ii libc6 2.7-15 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libice6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libjpeg62 6b-14 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libsm6 2:1.0.3-2 X11 Session Management library ii libx11-6 2:1.1.5-2 X11 client-side library ii libxaw7 2:1.0.4-2 X11 Athena Widget library ii libxext6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxmu6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous utility library ii libxpm4 1:3.5.7-1 X11 pixmap library ii libxt6 1:1.0.5-3 X11 toolkit intrinsics library ii vnc-common 3.3.7-14 Virtual network computing server s ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-12 compression library - runtime Versions of packages xtightvncviewer recommends: ii xfonts-base 1:1.0.0-5 standard fonts for X Versions of packages xtightvncviewer suggests: pn ssh <none> (no description available) pn tightvncserver <none> (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
