If it would work, then there is no reason at all to change P-a-s. It is not meant for short term solutions, that's what not-for-us is for. P-a-s is meant to list what architectures a package is supported for or will be supported for in short term (if it's not supported on all architectures in the first place). Not-for-us is meant to be used for short term architecture issues like support not fully ready, chroot issues and similar. P-a-s is not a wanna-build state and as such changes in P-a-s don't change a wanna-build state.
