I have a DVB card with a remote control which appears as an input device, and I'm having problems because X thinks it's a keyboard. See also #507831. /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/10-keymap.fdi applies input.xkbd properties to devices matching 'input.keys'.
