I now finally got around to get hurt by this change. Or so it seems: sugar-toolkit now (with most recent 0.82.x packages) installs activities as described in Sugarlabs ticket #8136, but the Sugar environment seemingly ignores the *.mo files at its new location below /usr/share/locale/ Creating a symlink from /usr/share/sugar/<activity>/locale to /usr/share/locale/ makes my locales work again. In what files should I look for code changes to actually make use of this change? Could you please test upstream if looking up *.mo files from below /usr/share/locale/ actually works at all in 0.83.x ?
