Package: gqview Version: 2.0.4-4 Severity: minor
Hotmail (and presumably others) have now started sending files marked as MIME type image/pjpeg, so it would be useful if this package would provide an entry for mailcap that handles that MIME type. Obviously this is slightly controversial, as that type has not been registered, so Hotmail are to blame, not gqview. However, in the spirit of being lenient in what you accept, it would make things "just work" again if the mailcap entry was provided. I have hacked my own .mailcap entry. To fix, add the following line to /usr/lib/mime/packages/gqview: image/pjpeg; gqview '%s'; test=test -n "${DISPLAY}"; priority=4 Thanks, Matthew -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages gqview depends on: ii libc6 2.7-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libglib2.0-0 2.16.5-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.12.11-3 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libpango1.0-0 1.20.5-1 Layout and rendering of internatio Versions of packages gqview recommends: ii libjpeg-progs 6b-14 Programs for manipulating JPEG fil Versions of packages gqview suggests: ii gimp 2.4.6-1 The GNU Image Manipulation Program pn xpaint <none> (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
