I've contacted the upstream author Hans de Goede and received a patch that likely fixes the issue for you. Can you please test with libv4l from the following website? http://alioth.debian.org/~gjasny-guest/libv4l-playground/ Note: The package is signed with my PGP key from work, because I don't have a i386 system for building packages.
