i have tried on my computer which uses kernel 2.6.27 with default vfat attributes set to codepage=850 and iocharset=utf8. Kernel complains everytime i let it use iocharset=utf8, implicitly or specified on command line. Does this implies that it is kernel related and not a bug in mount ? I don't know...
