My apologies, I should have thought to check that. I do have some customized bindings and things, and with a fresh .lyx it works fine. I'll merge my customizations into the new 1.6 profile myself, thanks for the advice.

To be fair, this exact same profile works fine with the old version. But it's far more likely to be something I did kludgily than a bug in your upgrading code.
