Yes, you have several font files providing "fixed", and only the Japanese one - which wrongly declares as fixed since it is not - provides it at size 10. If you want nicely working bitmap fonts, find an application that doesn’t use freetype - for example, rxvt. Cheers, -- .''`. : :' : We are debian.org.
