Of course, as this is overwritten by the script itself later on. You can if you want open a new bug, with priority wishlist, so we have as a new feature, all of these options in a separate configuration file. That is doable. > Well, every option that I have included in > /etc/default/automysqlbackup doesn't seem to work. Same as above: options are overwritten by the options in the script itself. > (and didn't I look correctly or it is really missing a "fi" for the if at > line 27 in /usr/sbin/automysqlbackup?) No, it's syntactically correct, otherwise it would simply crash. You got fooled by the indentation that I didn't modify in the original script in order to keep the debian .diff file smaller. > Also, I have one database that its directory is 23M (and its dump using > mysqldump is also 23MB), but automysqlbackup generates a "dump" of only 45K > (6,2K compressed). > It's clearly missing something. > > I am getting this on my mailbox: > > ERRORS REPORTED: MySQL Backup error Log for web - 2008-11-18_14h40m > > mysqldump: Couldn't execute 'show create table `cpub2jos_ctrl2`': SHOW > VIEW command denied to user 'debian-sys-maint'@'localhost' for table > 'cpub2jos_ctrl2' (1142) That means that your MySQL server is configured weirdly, with the debian-sys-maint MySQL user not having access to all of your MySQL databases (please see /etc/mysql/debian.cnf). This is an abnormal configuration that is done by you and only you, and this is not a but at all for this package. Now, do you also (like myself) think that I can close this bug without further action? Thomas -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
