Of course, as this is overwritten by the script itself later on. You can
if you want open a new bug, with priority wishlist, so we have as a new
feature, all of these options in a separate configuration file. That is
doable.

Same as above: options are overwritten by the options in the script itself.

No, it's syntactically correct, otherwise it would simply crash. You got
fooled by the indentation that I didn't modify in the original script in
order to keep the debian .diff file smaller.

That means that your MySQL server is configured weirdly, with the
debian-sys-maint MySQL user not having access to all of your MySQL
databases (please see /etc/mysql/debian.cnf). This is an abnormal
configuration that is done by you and only you, and this is not a but at
all for this package.

Now, do you also (like myself) think that I can close this bug without
further action?
