Look at the attached file. There are three problems/inconsistencies with indenting: 1. gq causes lines 4-7 to assume the indent of line 3. 2. Appending a line after line 3 (o) preserves the indent, as does autowrapping when adding more text to line 3. 3. Inserting a newline into line 3 removes the indent. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages vim-runtime depends on: ii dpkg 1.14.22 Debian package management system Versions of packages vim-runtime recommends: ii vim 2:7.2.025-2 Vi IMproved - enhanced vi editor ii vim-nox [vim] 2:7.2.025-2 Vi IMproved - enhanced vi editor vim-runtime suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- .''`. martin f. krafft <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> : :' : proud Debian developer, author, administrator, and user `. `'` http://people.debian.org/~madduck - http://debiansystem.info `- Debian - when you have better things to do than fixing systems
