This seems to work (I can see the cursor move), but gnome-screensaver
continues to blank. If I move the cursor manually as this is happening,
it stops and I can continue watching the video. I'm not sure what would
cause gnome-screensaver to ignore the cursor movement generated by
mplayer. I do notice the cursor always moves the instant the screensaver
begins to fade. Maybe that timing has something to do with it?
