Description of the crash:
This is occuring when issuing `torrify gaim` from the gnome 'Run
Application' dialog. (Alt+F2)

If this is run in, ie, xterm .. then there is no issue.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. su -c "aptitude install tor"
2. Alt+F2
3. `torify gaim`

Expected Results:
no crashing

How often does this happen?
every time
