Package: nagios-nrpe-server Version: 2.12-1 Severity: minor After upgrading to 1.4.12-4, I end up with this in my system log:
Nov 14 12:09:14 scrooge nrpe[30492]: Could not open config directory '/etc/nagios/nrpe.d' for reading. Nov 14 12:09:14 scrooge nrpe[30492]: Continuing with errors... Nov 14 12:09:14 scrooge nrpe[30493]: Starting up daemon A little bit untidy :-( And obviously logcheck picks up on it too. This could probably mislead some (small proportion) of system administrators. Could the package create that directory? Adding /etc/nagios/nrpe.d to debian/dirs seems to do the trick: --- /dev/null 2008-10-31 14:11:47.506102355 +0000 +++ debian/dirs 2008-11-14 13:43:46.000000000 +0000 @@ -0,0 +1 @@ +/etc/nagios/nrpe.d -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages nagios-nrpe-server depends on: ii adduser 3.110 add and remove users and groups ii libc6 2.7-15 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8g-14 SSL shared libraries ii lsb-base 3.2-20 Linux Standard Base 3.2 init scrip Versions of packages nagios-nrpe-server recommends: ii nagios-plugins 1.4.12-4 Plugins for the nagios network mon ii nagios-plugins-basic 1.4.12-4 Plugins for the nagios network mon nagios-nrpe-server suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
