I don't think this is a good idea. What if I had set up a terminal application in some remote host that depended on the size of my screen? Or what if I were logged into a system that didn't work right, and did not detect resizes? It would screw everything up when I added a tab if the terminal window space were resized. Instead, the window should be resized to make room for the tabs, as it does now. --mark--
