Hi, Since upgrading to 2.7.0-19+lenny1, snort spams syslog with messages like: Nov 5 16:39:20 host snort[13133]: ²m(1838592624) ==> The ttl_limit option will be ignored, and Use of the ttl_limit option will be deprecated in a future release Nov 5 16:39:20 host snort[13133]: @²m(1838592624) ==> The ttl_limit option will be ignored, and Use of the ttl_limit option will be deprecated in a future release Nov 5 16:39:20 host snort[13133]: @²m(1838592648) ==> The ttl_limit option will be ignored, and Use of the ttl_limit option will be deprecated in a future release Nov 5 16:39:20 host snort[13133]: X²m(1838592648) ==> The ttl_limit option will be ignored, and Use of the ttl_limit option will be deprecated in a future release snort.conf mentions the ttl_limit option only in comments, so I have no idea why does it complain. Also note the garbage at the beginning of the log messages.
