I followed the very simple instructions from [1] and it worked out fine. The only and very small issue I had was to manually transition from g77 to gfortran. I don't know, why, though. # aptitude remove g77 # aptitude install gfortran Good luck with the few remaining RCs! I cannot thank you too much for providing that excellent thing called Debian!!
