Please provide the rules you are having issues with so I can test them out in CLIPS. I guess that by PHLIPS you are referring to the PHP extension for CLIPS available at http://phlips.sourceforge.net/ I can run '(- 1 2)' in CLIPS in a Ia64 system (used a sid chroot of one of our development machines) without any crash. My current guess is that this problem is related to phlips and not to clips, maybe because the clips version in Debian has changed from 6.21 to 6.24 and the PHP libraries have broken. Regards Javier
