I'm going to have to agree with Adam on this one.  It's something that I
generally notice and fix in parts of the code that I'm touching (just
like any other style fixes) but it's just noise to do a mass conversion.
It has no effect on the end-user and no real effect on any developers.
Any tools used to generate diffs handle extraneous whitespace just fine.
