Bug#501578: Urgent - Not fixed

I just used aptitude to do a general update and got this previously 
reported error.  The bug was closed as fixed on Oct. 8 but I just ran 
into it almost a month later.  How do I fix it?  How can I tell aptitude 
or dselect or apt-get to install a specific working version of matplotlib.
