I have the same problem : mocp crashes (play a file but freezes or back to console) with the message "FATAL_ERROR: Can't send() int to the server " as soon as I browse a directory with music files, or as soon as I want to play a music file if I disable tag reading.
It the same if I remove the cache before. I use the default config file. mocp -V : moc 2.5.0-alpha3 Build: Jul 2 2008 15:31:25 Compiled with: OSS ALSA JACK DEBUG internet streams resample I can't see what mocp -D gives ... mocp -DF --server gives during a freeze : oct 31 01:36:01.707319: player.c:451 decode_loop(): loop... oct 31 01:36:01.707465: player.c:492 decode_loop(): decoded 9216 bytes oct 31 01:36:01.707473: player.c:181 bitrate_list_add(): Not adding bitrate 160 at time 42 because it is for the same time as the last bitrate oct 31 01:36:01.707481: player.c:557 decode_loop(): putting into the buffer 9216 bytes oct 31 01:36:01.707492: audio_conversion.c:617 audio_conv(): Fast conversion! oct 31 01:36:01.707500: player.c:451 decode_loop(): loop... oct 31 01:36:01.707645: player.c:492 decode_loop(): decoded 9216 bytes oct 31 01:36:01.707653: player.c:181 bitrate_list_add(): Not adding bitrate 192 ...
