Hi Eric, -=| Debian Bug Tracking System, Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 07:39:10PM +0000 |=- > > reopen 502994 > Bug#502994: rt2860-source: Generated packages don't install RT2860STA.dat > Bug reopened, originator not changed.
The README_STA file says: RT2860 driver can be configured via following interfaces, i.e. (i)"iwconfig" command, (ii)"iwpriv" command, (iii) configuration file The module works for me without RT2860STA.dat in /etc. I guess wpa_supplicant/network-manager/whoever deals with the driver via the wlan kernel interface sufficiently good. Any extra features should be available by using iwpriv, no? And if you ask me, having a kernel module depend on a file in /etc seems terribly broken. Anyway, if you really feel like you need that file, /usr/share/doc/rt2860-source/README_STA.gz has instructions where to put it and what it could contain. -- dam JabberID: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
