I'll do my best to help you identify this bug. My policy is to install
from Lenny only when needed, sorry if this does not help you. I'm
going to install a new Xen domU Lenny based (likely next week) to test
sql-ledger 2.8.16 package in a "pure Lenny" environment.

No, I installed from sources (actually I did "cp -Rav sql-ledger/*
/usr/share/sql-ledger/" from sources) but I still get errors when trying
to print some documents (in PDF or PS, thus using LaTex):

 Error!

panic: attempt to copy freed scalar 83e6dc0 to 8233ca0 at SL/Form.pm line 984.

Looking at the LaTex /var/lib/sql-ledger/users/*_<document>.tex i see it
gets truncated during document generation.

Please note: with 2.8.17 if I try to print the very same document in
HTML no error occurs (while with 2.8.16 the error was occurring)

Let's say it works with Perl 5.8, OK?

As I said I upgraded to 2.8.17 but it seems still buggy

me too, and I desperately need that logs... better if not simply stating
"fixes for Perl 5.10" :-S

absolutely not

Ciao
Giovanni.
