I wanted to try and test 3.3.0 (latest testing) and 3.4-1 (current sid) to see if the bug was still in them, but they both have deps on libraries not in etch. I figured I'd try building from source, but they also appear to have build-deps not in etch. Following the dependencies to attempt a "backport" I got stuck on a circular build-dep of man-db needing a non-etch version of debhelper to build and vice-versa.
