Package: pppoe Version: 3.5-4 Followup-For: Bug #298582 I've had the same problem, which went away immediately after enabling kernel mode (pppoe-server -k). To do that you first need to get #298185 fixed though. I've just sent a proposed solution to that bug.
I have no explanation on why the non-kernelmode pppoe-server responses are getting lost, but I saw the same pattern: pppd thinks that it's sending replies, but the interface on which they should be going out is not sending anything. I may do some further research on that later but first I've got one more pppoe bugreport to compose. It'll be coming in a few minutes. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.29 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages pppoe depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii ppp 2.4.3-20050321+2 Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) daem -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
