Package: mediatomb-daemon
Version: 0.11.0-3
Severity: important

Mediatomb is now consistently killing my machine everytime it updates its
database, whether on a timed scan basis or on an
inotify scan basis.

I have added a large (~500GB) folder containing videos, music and images to the
mediatomb database and while performing the
database update, mediatomb eventually crashes the system. I can't tell whether
that's due to my recent dist-upgrade or my
adding of new content to the folder (both things happened approximately at the
same time), but all I can say is that it's
making mediatomb completely unusable on my machine.

I'm tagging this bug as important because I cannot provide more info at this
point (this is a headless remote server and
there is nothing in the logs) but I believe this is a serious bug: even if it
is triggered by a damaged file, it's clearly a
problem if it ends up crashing the whole system.

I'll try grabbing console output (if any) and report it ASAP.

One last thing: I'm using the default config.xml with the PS3 bits activated.
