Package: mediatomb-daemon Version: 0.11.0-3 Severity: important Mediatomb is now consistently killing my machine everytime it updates its database, whether on a timed scan basis or on an inotify scan basis.
I have added a large (~500GB) folder containing videos, music and images to the mediatomb database and while performing the database update, mediatomb eventually crashes the system. I can't tell whether that's due to my recent dist-upgrade or my adding of new content to the folder (both things happened approximately at the same time), but all I can say is that it's making mediatomb completely unusable on my machine. I'm tagging this bug as important because I cannot provide more info at this point (this is a headless remote server and there is nothing in the logs) but I believe this is a serious bug: even if it is triggered by a damaged file, it's clearly a problem if it ends up crashing the whole system. I'll try grabbing console output (if any) and report it ASAP. One last thing: I'm using the default config.xml with the PS3 bits activated. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages mediatomb-daemon depends on: ii adduser 3.110 add and remove users and groups ii mediatomb-common 0.11.0-3+b4 UPnP MediaServer (base package) mediatomb-daemon recommends no packages. mediatomb-daemon suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
