(Current lenny, iceweasel 3.0.3; Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092816) Yes and no. It still ignores /etc/papersize and other global options as well as kprinter as the system's printer interface. Even worse, it appears that some time during the transition my iceweasel setting of 'A4' has automagically been replaced by 'letter'. The correct paper size is about the only option that cannot be set within the 'print' dialogue, since the 'Page setup' tab misses this option. The paper size has to be set rather unintuitively from an altogether different location, namely 'File > Page Setup'. It is _not_ available from within 'Edit > Preferences', another place where one would expect it. Once the paper size is set to A4 it prints fine. The settings for the margins seem to have disappeared altogether; at least I could not find them in any of the obvious locations. NB: within the printer's cups options (localhost:631) the printer's paper size is set to A4 as well. (This setting is probably inherited from /etc/papersize). Ie, cups test pages etc. are printed correctly and iceweasel also ignores the cups-options for paper size. >> The default also ignores kde's kprinter (and can hardly be >> configured to use it). IHMO it is really a pain (especially for new users) that iceweasel (and OOo, btw.) completely ignore kprinter and the global system options. Any sane application should take the default printing options from the system's default (/etc/papersize *and* German location in KDE settings) and not override these with per-application defaults. I have just checked with gimp. It seems to share the printer dialogue with iceweasel and has the same issues with the paper size. Since the paper size explicitly appears in .mozilla/firefox/y7benxry.default/prefs.js , however, I guess the gimp issue warrants a different bug report. Thanks for helping to clear this up! Cheers, Johannes
