Package: pekwm Version: 0.1.7-2 Severity: normal
The new menu integration is cool but overwrites the ~/.pekwm/menu file, which may contain a custom structure, and also contains menus for window frames, etc... The correct way to generate the menus would be to modify a file as ~/.pekwm/debian-menu which would contain only the application tree, which would be INCLUDEd, or dynamically included (not necessary imho, a config reload is cheap for pekwm), by the default config. It would then be possible to maintain a custom menu config, while still including the automatic part. I think that a similar way is used for the automatic generation of pwm menus. I'm marking this bug as normal even if there is dataloss (and I can assure you I lost a fairly complicated and featurefull menu config, as I assumed that the autogeneration would behave as for pwm). -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (999, 'testing'), (555, 'unstable'), (55, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-ambre (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages pekwm depends on: ii libc6 2.7-14 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.3.2-1 GCC support library ii libjpeg62 6b-14 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libpng12-0 1.2.27-2 PNG library - runtime ii libstdc++6 4.3.2-1 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.1.5-2 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxft2 2.1.12-3 FreeType-based font drawing librar ii libxinerama1 2:1.0.3-2 X11 Xinerama extension library ii libxpm4 1:3.5.7-1 X11 pixmap library ii libxrandr2 2:1.2.3-1 X11 RandR extension library ii menu 2.1.40 generates programs menu for all me ii x11-utils 7.3+2 X11 utilities pekwm recommends no packages. pekwm suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
