Package: azureus Version: 3.1.1.0-3.1 Severity: important
Hello, Azureus has problems correctly decoding the file names in some torrents. There are two problems I noted: 1. Sometimes special characters (spaces, parentheses etc.) are shown as their Ascii codes (similar to URLs), e.g. space is shown as "_20". The original name can still be reconstucted. 2. Some Japanese characters (seems to concern katakana especially) are shown as question marks. The original name is lost. Both make using Azureus with those files a pain, since the filenames have to be changed manually, and in the second case they have to be retreived from the original torrent, presumably by another torrent client which could have downloaded them correctly in the first place. I have example torrents for both cases, both non-working and working ones for reference, all of which work in e.g. qbittorrent. Since I am not sure about their legality I'll send them via private mail, feel free to add them to the bugreport if you don't think it's a problem.
