If you set CONFIG-LGUEST in the config file, you also need to make sure you have installed zlib1g-dev. If this is not documented in the kernel sources you are building, please tell the creators of that kernel source to document it.You need: zlib1g-dev: /usr/include/zlib.h
Thanks, my old build machine had zlib1g-dev installed, but I had forgotten to add it to my new build machine.
