I try Sid, Lenny and Etch versions in Lenny.

All of them fail to power off system.

I change uswsusp.conf, and don't work.

$ cat /etc/uswsusp.conf 
# /etc/uswsusp.conf(8) -- Configuration file for s2disk/s2both 
resume device = /dev/hda6
early writeout = y
image size = 977858314
RSA key file = /etc/uswsusp.key
shutdown method = poweroff
compress = y
