Well, that's a strange choice as none of these are, AFAIK, the name of standards, so you could very well translate them to "natural language" (which is what I did in the French translation). Anyway, given the way debconf translation works, your choice will lead to an *untranslated* debconf template as a template has to be entirely translated for the translation to be shown. So, if you insist on keeping the cable "standards" names untranslated, I suggest ou copy the msgid to msgstr instead of leaving the latter empty.
