If we're unable to reproduce a software problem ourselves, then the only purpose we would serve is as middle-men, or first-line technical support: slowing things down and relaying only partially correct information in both directions. Where a problem is reproducible, we would usually deal with upstream ourselves, but it frustrates upstream as much as anyone if the person reporting the bug can't help isolate it. Of course, if you want to mail one of us an iPod, then we might be in a better situation to reproduce the problem & cooperate with upstream. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
