Yes I do use udev. I had a bit of a look around for any errors but didn't see anything. I used to use hwtools to run hdparm and that is at S60 and never had a problem with it there. I am not familiar with the corruption problem though. If you can suggest anything I can do to help track down the issue, happy to do so.
