I don't have exactly the same controller as the original reporter. I got a:
04:00.1 IDE interface: JMicron Technologies, Inc. JMicron 20360/20363
AHCI Controller (rev 02)
But I had the same errors as original reporter, and have been watching
this bug.
I have been running a self-compiled 2.6.24 with pata_jmicron to work
around the problem for a while.
Today I tried linux-image from unstable
linux-image-2.6.26-1-amd64 version 2.6.26-6
It still uses jmicron (not pata_jmicron), but now it works without errors :)
I burned a CD without any problems. Life is good.
