I'd like to close this bug again, for two reasons:

- With 4.1.4-4, you can have symlinks as mount points, so half of the bug is
  fixed.
- The newest version of stable (sarge) now has the same behaviour of sid; I
never added any magic to look for problematic automount entries, so it's
too late to fix it for sarge anyhow. Updates across more than one version
aren't supported, so there really isn't a "change of behaviour" between
sarge and etch anymore. (There goes the other half of the bug.) In any
case, I intend to try to reduce the cruft in postinst etc. (checking for
the old broken versions in sid, for instance) soon; adding more checks etc.
would be counterproductive in that area.

Comments? I'd be happy to throw a few lines into README.Debian if that helps.
