If you use another desktop environment than GNOME and you want nm-applet be autostarted you have to comment the line OnlyShowIn=GNOME; in [1] (systemwide) or in [2] (user). [1] /etc/xdg/autostart/nm-applet.desktop [2] ~/.config/autostart/nm-applet.desktop Thanks, Paul
