I installed splashy and rebuilt my initrd image. I then mounted it to check if the binary splashy was thee as well as the library libglib-2.0.so.0. Both were present. At boot up splashy fails to start with the error: error while loading shared libraries: libglib-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory At shutdown splashy works fine.
