I just crashed with an untainted, unmodified 2.6.26-1-amd64 (2.6.26-5) kernel. The only difference was that caps lock didn't blink -- the wireless icon did instead. The computer couldn't be reached in any way. No input devices responded and when I tried to ssh and ping from another computer, my T61p was unreachable. The crash happened while sending a few mails with large attachments. Doing a simple google search for "T61p crash caps lock" shows that this seems to be a pretty widespread problem that's been around for some time. For me, it makes my computer pretty much useless, as I can't afford to have random crashes while working. Could I maybe solve this by buying some other (insertable) wireless network card that uses other kernel modules? /Hans Christian -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
