Package: libdbd-pg-perl Version: 1.42-1 Severity: normal Hi,
Since the postgresql socket location is now changing (and getting to be version dependent), DBD_Pg is looking in the wrong place for UNIX domain sockets. Specifying localhost and port is a workaround, since it then uses internet domain sockets, but that brings in additional overhead. I suppose this is part of the transition for Postgresql in unstable, but thought I'd record the issue for others. thanks, manoj -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.11.2-skas3-v8-rc2 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C) Versions of packages libdbd-pg-perl depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libdbi-perl 1.48-1 Perl5 database interface by Tim Bu ii libpq3 1:7.4.8-7 PostgreSQL C client library ii perl 5.8.7-3 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii perl-base [perlapi-5.8.4] 5.8.7-3 The Pathologically Eclectic Rubbis -- no debconf information -- To write good code is a worthy challenge, and a source of civilized delight. stolen and paraphrased from William Safire Manoj Srivastava <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <http://www.golden-gryphon.com/> 1024D/BF24424C print 4966 F272 D093 B493 410B 924B 21BA DABB BF24 424C -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
