This affects both when adding files and directories.
For this particular case, there's indeed a bug. I did not notice it because I almost always use the Library module, and this doesn't happen with this one. To fix it when using the file explorer, I think that the AlbumArtist tag should be used to sort the files instead of the Artist one when it exists. For your other issue, it's way more complicated. Not sorting the files is not a solution, as there are other people (including me) who have the exact opposite problem: filenames are a mess, but tags are correct. If the files are no longer sorted before adding them to the playlist, the order in which they will be added will make no sense. Moreover, when drag'n'dropping some files from an external application (e.g., Nautilus), the files may be passed in any arbitrary order, and not sorting them would not provide the expected result. You're thinking of the file explorer as a way "to get rid" of tags, but it's only a way to browse your files. Internally, tags are used everywhere, including in the playlist. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
